“ Delicious and great staff Wonderful selection. Very sweet and cute spot. Came home with four different breads because I couldn't decide on just one -they all were amazing. Souderton is blessed to have such a great small business !! ”
“ Amazing Spot... The almond croissant is heavenly. It will put you to sleep though. The layers are so expertly done and the owner is always willing to make a recommendation if asked. Weds/Fri/Sat are the only open days. Get there early! I don't hand out 5 stars lightly. She deserves them all ”
“ Such a cute, quaint place that serves fresh baked goods! I'm still somewhat new to this area, so my fiancé and I went in to check it out recently. The lady behind the counter was very kind, and she even let us take a small free sample of something we were interested in. ”
“ Met a nice lady Maria who explained the different types of danish. Cute corner place short hours so check before you go. ”
“ Been wanting to stop by here for a while and finally did! Treated ourselves to a nice Saturday spread of baked goodies. Chocolate croissant, danish, and fresh bread for dinner later. The shop keeper was so kind and helpful. She told me about these special French croissants they only do on Saturdays called Kouign-amann. Never heard of them specifically so course we had to try - and oh my gosh are they delicious. Thank you for the recommendation! So glad we stopped by. Will definitely be back :) ”
“ Housed in a Craftsman California Bungalow at the corner of East Broad and North Fifth Streets in Souderton, Bakers on Broad is a real French Patisserie baking and selling excellent breads and pastries. The storefront is attractively appointed in mellow green pastel with displays around the room, coffee service and an intimate cafe area for enjoying their homemade goods and private conversation. The owners are a married team with husband Raphael learning his craft in France where he grew up, and American wife Linda running the retail operation. I arrived just before closing on Saturday afternoon, and had to pick from what remained after a busy morning. I was the sole customer and had the opportunity to chat with the proprietress as I walked about the shop seeing what I wanted. She answered all my questions and assisted in my selection of croissants, rolls, fruit/cheese pastries and half baguette. She won me completely over when she offered to brew fresh coffee for me to enjoy it all on the drive home. She also gave me a complementary slice of a dense layered cake that was wonderful (but whose name I forget). The Java was straight up hot and bracing and perfect after wash for the delicate and deliciously sweet flaky croissant and the lightly buttered crusty roll I manged on the country drive back south. Later in the evening we heated the fruit danish for dessert and cut them into fours so each of us had a taste. Also fabulous. I admit my surprise at finding such good patisserie on the outskirts of civilization up Bucks County, but now that I know I won't be a stranger. ”
“ I've only been here once but I had the chocolate almond croissant and it was very fucking good. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more. Plus the lady who helped me was extremely friendly and it was a pleasure doing business with them. ”
“ Cute little corner bakery with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere accompanied by a very friendly staff. A lot of delicious looking breads and pastries. We tried the chocolate croissants which were very well flavored with a slightly less flakiness than you might find in Paris. We brought one home and warmed it in the oven which really made the flavors pop. Would have loved to have sampled some of the breads as they all looked so good. Would recommend giving them a try for any of the baked goods they offer. ”
“ We regularly visit Bakers on Broad to get their delicious pastries and breads and I have no complaints! Their pastries are fantastic, their bread is fresh and delicious, and the people are always friendly. What more could you ask for? I especially appreciate that they have day-old bread/pastries on the counter each Saturday we are able to go, so we're usually able to get the wheat sourdough they make on Fridays. Make sure to check out their website/Facebook page so you know when they're baking each type of bread and order early if you need to! They usually sell out of certain types of pastries by 10 am on Saturdays. 100% recommend. ”
